Solar Panels
$240.00 – $370.00 rrp
There are four sizes of high quality solar panels available, 140W, 180W and 215W Monocrystalline PERC solar panels with a strong low profile 35mm anodised black frame with toughened glass, and a new 200W lightweight polymer panel with a low profile 25mm aluminium black frame.
A wiring loom with MC4 connectors that connect to the panel and a red Anderson® SB50 style connectors that terminates at the solar panel bracket.is supplied with each panel.
NOTE: To connect two panels together you will also need to purchase a Solar Y Connector Pair that links the two panels.
The full specifications of the panels are detailed below.
The following are the recommended install options for panels on Bush Company tents:
200W Lightweight Panels – the panels can be fitted sideways on the roof of any of the Bush Company tents with a maximum of two panels on any of the tents requiring a solar panel bracket set for each panel.
215W Panels – the panel should be fitted lengthways on The Bush Company tents with a maximum of one panel on the roof of the tent.
180W Panels – must be fitted lengthways on The Bush Company tents (maximum of 1 for TX27 and TX27 MAX). With the AX27 and DX27 two180W panels can be fitted side by side lengthways on the tent using only one set of solar panel brackets, but the panels MUST be glued and riveted/bolted together on their adjoining edge to prevent vibration and damage to the panel or bracket.
140W Panels – can be fitted sideways on The Bush Company tents (maximum of 2 for TX27 and TX27 MAX ) requiring a solar panel bracket set for each panel, or 3 panels can be fitted on an AX or DX27 tent with two panels lengthways side by side and one panel sideways, 2 sets of solar panel brackets would be required.
Solar Panel Options
There are four sizes of panels available: 140W, 180W or 215W monocrystalline panels and a 200W lightweight polymer panel., the full specifications of these panels are detailed below. The supplied wiring kit terminates in a RED Anderson plug at the solar panel bracket..
215W Monocrystalline PERC Solar Panel with Black Frame
The 215W panels are fitted lengthways on the tents, except on the TX27 MAX rooftop tent where the panels will fit sideways. The panel has has “A” Grade PERC solar cells, toughened glass and strong aluminium frame.
The frame of the panel is a strong 35mm high black anodised aluminium. Toughened glass covers the solar cells which protects the panel from harsh conditions. The wiring on the back of the panel is a red positive and a black negative wire with MC4 connectors installed. This 215W solar panel will be suited for charging 12V battery banks when installed in parallel or larger voltage systems when installed in series.
Maximum power (Pmax) 215W
Maximum power voltage (Vmp) 18.2V
Maximum power current (Imp) 11.81A
Open circuit voltage (Voc) 21.5V
Short circuit voltage (Isc) 13.07A
Maximum system voltage 1000VDC
Dimensions 1300 x 820 x 35mm
Weight 13.4kg (per panel)
200W Lightweight Polymer Panel with Black Frame
The 200W lightweight panel has no glass which makes it very light weight.at only 5.4Kg which is less than half of our 215W moncrystalline panel. The coating on the panel is a clear coat to protect the solar cells from the weather. The light weight black aluminium frame is 25mm high, which allows for mounting brackets to be attached, and to strengthen the panel there arel two cross section gussets are installed. Wiring consists of approximately 450mm length wire with quick release solar connectors installed.

Weight 5.4kg (per panel)
180W Monocrystalline PERC Solar Panel with Black Frame
The180W panels are fitted lengthways on the tent ,two panels can be fitted side by side, but they will overhang the side of the tent by approximately 30mm on either side and you will need to trim away some of the frame on the panel to clear the mounting bolts of the brackets.
The frame of the panel is a strong 35mm high black anodised aluminium. Toughened glass covers the solar cells which protects the panel from harsh conditions. The wiring on the back of the panel is a red positive and a black negative wire with MC4 connectors installed. This 180W solar panel will be suited for charging 12V battery banks when installed in parallel or larger voltage systems when installed in series.

140W Monocrystalline PERC Solar Panel with Black Frame
These panels can be installed sideways across the roof of the tent, each panel will require a pair of the solar panel brackets, a maximum of three 140W panes can be fitted sideways on the roof of the tent. If the 140W panels are fitted lengthways on the tent two panels can be fitted side by side, but they will overhang the side of the tent by approximately 30mm on either side and you will need to trim away some of the frame on the panel to clear the mounting bolts of the brackets.
This 140W solar panel has a strong 35mm anodised black frame with toughened glass, PERC A grade solar cells have been used to give a high-power output. A red positive wire and a black negative wire with MC4 plugs attached.

If you have elected to sign for your items (required for all tents and awnings) When the shipment arrives, it is essential that you check it thoroughly for any signs of damage before signing to accept the shipment. This means checking the exterior box and if there are any signs of damage externally then the box should be opened, and the product examined for any signs of damage to the product itself. This needs to be done before you sign anything to say that the item has been received, the driver needs to wait until you are satisfied. If you are not satisfied with the condition of the item, then you are entitled to refuse delivery and the courier will have to return the product to us.
If you do not follow this procedure and it turns out that the item has been damaged in transit, then there is no way for us to claim on the freight insurance to cover any damage as you have signed to say that the product has been received in good condition. Once you have signed for the delivery the courier company will interpret this as the item being delivered in good condition. If you sign anything and are not satisfied you must ensure that this is noted by the driver in writing and obtain a copy that is signed by the driver.
