Universal Single Mesh Wall: awning privacy screen with airflow

One heavy-duty mesh wall, 2.4m high and 2.3m wide between the outer zips, or 2.5m with the zip-on end sections attached, that fits any Bush Company awning (180 XT MAX, 270 XT Mk2 or 270 XT MAX Mk2), and any awning with a Velcro loop strip on its valance. It lets the breeze through while cutting sun, glare, wind and prying eyes. From inside you keep up to 90% outward visibility, while the one-way mesh gives up to 80% privacy from outside: people walking past see shapes, not detail.

How you'll use it

• Beach and river days: shade and a windbreak without losing the view.
• Hot, still days: screen the camp and cut heat and glare without trapping the air the way a solid wall would.
• Dusty or windy sites: take the edge off the wind while the air keeps moving.
• Light rain: the mesh keeps most light rain out, though driving rain will come through; for that, use a canvas wall on the weather side.
• Mix and match: zip it to a canvas wall or another mesh wall for a windbreak, a shaded dining area or a semi-enclosed camp.

As a guide, one mesh wall covers more than three-quarters of one side of a 180 XT MAX, and three walls come close to enclosing it. Two walls nearly enclose a 270 XT Mk2.

Built for heat, dust and wind

650gsm woven mesh that blocks UV, reduces glare and heat, and resists mildew and salt water. It complies with the US Greenguard^®, European Oeko-Tex^® and Australian Eco-specifier^® standards, which cover low chemical emissions, freedom from harmful substances and whole-of-life environmental performance. The wall has a 600gsm PVC splash skirt and adjustable pegging eyelets that keep the base taut and keep out water, mud and sand on sloping or uneven ground. The eyelets let you set the wall height to suit your vehicle, up to 2.4m.

Modular and quick to set up

The wall attaches to the awning's genuine Velcro® strip. Two aluminium telescopic poles fit the built-in holes in the trussed arms, or the webbing loop at the end of a non-trussed arm on Mk2 awnings, and extend to 2.6m to hold it steady, and three pegs are included. Full-length YKK spiral zips on both sides join it to other walls. They're made from spiralled polyester and nylon: the softest, smoothest-running zip YKK makes. Each side has a removable zip-on end section, so there's soft fabric, not a zip, against your vehicle's paint; unzip it to join the next wall. The kit weighs 4kg and packs, with its poles and pegs, into one canvas storage bag. 12-month warranty.

Home Delivery

If you provide a residential address for delivery of your order it is assumed that your items can left in a safe place at your home if nobody ia available to receive them in person, in which case, The Bush Company is not accountable for any loss once delivery is made.

To save on shipping costs you can select "Pickup In-Store" during checkout.

All items, including CapRax Canopies by Rhinoman, are available for collection from our showroom at The Bush Company, 14 Cessna Street, Marcoola, QLD 4564. In-stock orders are usually ready for collection the same day. We will contact you to confirm when your order is ready to collect.

Please note that due to insurance and health and safety issues, you cannot self-fit your purchase on our premises.

International Delivery

Freight costs for international orders are calculated excluding customs duties and local sales taxes.  The receiver will be required to cover the costs of local import duties and sales taxes. Large Items (Courier Delivery Tents & Canopies)

Home Delivery

’Home Delivery ’ means a home or private residence, including locations where a business is operated from the home or private residence. For home delivery of rooftop tents and canopies a forklift must be available at the delivery point and truck access. We will contact you to confirm that his is the case.  Unloading by hand is not permitted by the couriers due to health and safety regulations. If, as is usually the case, you do not have a forklift available at your home address, we can arrange for your tent or canopy to be delivered to the nearest FEDEX freight depot/agent for collection from there.

Business Delivery

If you provide a commercial premises address for the delivery of your rooftop tent or canopy,  a forklift must be available at the delivery point and truck access. Unloading by hand is not permitted by the couriers due to health and safety regulations.

Depot Collection

If you want to have you items delivery to a depot for you to collect (often the cheapest option for tents and canopies) but you are unsure of the nearest depot please contact us by email at info@thebushcompany.com.au or by phone +61 (07) 5302 6948 to obtain a shipping quote and place your order.

Damage In Transit

If you or the person responsible for receiving your order does not check that the item has arrived in good condition prior to accepting it, The Bush Company cannot be held responsible for any claim for damage in transit.

When your order shipment arrives, it is essential that you check it thoroughly for any signs of damage before signing to accept the shipment.  This means checking the exterior box and if there are any signs of damage externally then the box should be opened, and the product examined for any signs of damage to the product itself.  This needs to be done before you sign anything to say that the item has been received, the driver needs to wait until you are satisfied.  If you are not satisfied with the condition of the item, then you are entitled to refuse delivery and the courier will have to return the product to us.

If you do not follow this procedure and it turns out that the item has been damaged in transit, then there is no way for The Bush Company to claim on the freight insurance to cover any damage.  If you sign anything and are not satisfied you must ensure that this is noted by the driver in writing and obtain a copy that is signed by the driver.
