The XT has a single pivot, 8m² (86 sq ft) of coverage, weighs 27.8kg (61.3 lb), sets up in under 30 seconds and fits racks from 1.4m (4'7"). The MAX has two hinge points and a forward-folding front section for 12m² (129 sq ft), weighs 33.5kg (73.9 lb) and needs 1.9m (6'3") of rack. Choose the XT for speed of set-up/pack down and lighter payload; the MAX for maximum coverage around the vehicle.
No. Poles are only recommended when running the optional awning wall kits, and those poles come with the wall kit.
Choose the side you want the awning to deploy from. Most tourers fit it to the side their camp kitchen or canopy door opens onto. On a right hand drive vehicle (like Australia), the Left Hand awning mounts to the passenger side.

Yes. At 27.8kg (61.3 lb) you'll want a second set of hands for lifting and bolting. Fitting instructions are in our Guides & Instructions section, or any Bush Company stockist can fit it for you.
Yes — two heavy-duty adjustable stainless L-brackets ship with the awning.
Any rack or load bars giving at least 1.4m (4'7") between mounting points. Two adjustable L-brackets are included — one on the stainless headstock at the hinged end, the second no closer than 1.4m from it.

The Bush Company or one of our stockists can install your awning, but if you choose to install the awning yourself please make sure that you have done the due diligence to ensure that it does not create any safety issues. Please also ensure you follow all standard safety precautions when undertaking the install.
