An upgrade for the AX27: a larger rainfly that reaches further down the sides of the tent, for more shelter from rain and sun and less noise from flapping fabric on exposed campsites.


It clips to the AX27's pre-mounted side brackets and uses your existing spring steel poles, plus two shorter poles that come with the set. Single-layer 315gsm ±5% acrylic-treated polyester ripstop canvas.

The AX27 comes with a one-piece rainfly over its entrances. This larger rainfly is an upgrade for campers who spend time on exposed sites: it gives more coverage down the sides of the tent and is tensioned to cut down the flapping noise that keeps you awake in the wind.

Why a bigger rainfly helps

  • Dry entry and exit: it covers the ladder and entrances, so you're not climbing in wet or bringing water inside.
  • More weather protection: wider side coverage keeps rain off more of the main canvas and doorways.
  • Airflow in wet weather: you can leave windows and vents cracked open without rain splashing in.
  • Shade: more of the tent sits in shade on hot afternoons.
  • Quieter: reinforced tensioning points reduce flapping in gusts.
