Replacement Gas Struts for Bush Company rooftop tents

The gas struts do the lifting when you open your tent. Over time, and especially in cold weather, they lose pressure: the lid gets heavier to lift, or won't hold itself fully open. A new pair, rated for your tent, brings back the smooth, controlled lift.

Choose your tent

  • AX27: one pair, 530mm (20.9in), 650N.
  • LX27 Gen 1 andLX27 Gen 2: one pair, 530mm (20.9in), 600N.
  • DX27: one pair, 490mm (19.3in), 650N.
  • TX27 and TX27 MAX: the double-action roof has struts in the top and bottom sections. The bottom-section pair (530mm (20.9in), 800N) fits both tents; the top-section pairs are different for the TX27 (490mm (19.3in), 350N) and the TX27 MAX (490mm (19.3in), 400N).

Fitting tips

  • Replace struts in pairs, so both sides lift evenly and the hinges aren't twisted.
  • Support the lid securely before removing the old struts.
  • The new struts fit the original mounting points and hardware.
