Rooftop Tent Dead Bolt Bracket

Stops the Tent Opening While You Drive · Required for Reversed Installations · No Drilling

The Dead Bolt Bracket is a second line of defence behind the latches: even if a latch isn't fully done up, the tent can't open by itself while you're driving.

It's required whenever a Bush Company rooftop tent is fitted in reverse, with the open end facing forward. It bolts into the tent's Ezi-Slot channels with no drilling. Stainless steel, black powder coat.

Rooftop Tent Dead Bolt Bracket: extra security for the drive

Our tents close on custom-made, heavy-duty stainless steel over-centre latches. The Dead Bolt Bracket adds a mechanical stop behind them, so even if you forget to fully secure a latch, the tent can't open by itself while you're driving.

When it's required

You can fit a Bush Company tent the usual way, with the open end at the rear of the vehicle, or in reverse, with the open end facing forward and the ladder secured to a roof rack on the cab. If you fit it in reverse, the Dead Bolt Bracket is required as a safety feature, in case the latches haven't been secured properly. For a normal installation it's an optional extra.

How it fits

  • The top and bottom sections bolt into the tent's Ezi-Slot channels, so there's no drilling and nothing to modify.
  • It works alongside other Ezi-Slot accessories such as awning brackets, ladder brackets and recovery track mounts.
  • Made from stainless steel with a black powder-coat finish.

Fits all Bush Company rooftop tent models.

Specifications

  • Function: mechanical lock that stops the tent opening if the latches aren't fully secured
  • Required for: reversed installations (open end facing forward)
  • Mounting: Ezi-Slot channels, no drilling
  • Material: stainless steel with a black powder-coat finish
