180 XT MAX Wall Kit: turn your 180° awning into a fully enclosed room

Three main walls and a fourth front-or-rear wall that zip, Velcro and peg onto the 180 XT MAX Awning to make an all-weather room. Use all four for a full enclosure, or just one or two as the conditions change.

What's in the kit

  • Three main walls, each with a large zippered midge-mesh window and an inner canvas flap you can open fully, partly or close from inside.
  • Roll-up door in the centre wall. Roll it up and tie it off with the toggles, or peg it out horizontally as extra shade (extra poles, pegs and ropes not supplied).
  • Fourth wall that screens off the front or rear arm: block the wind, shelter the kitchen, or close off the gap above the bonnet.
  • Custom vinyl hanger for the privacy partition.
  • Four aluminium telescopic poles extending to 2.6m, and pegs.
  • One heavy-duty canvas bag with YKK spiral zips for all four walls, and a separate canvas bag for the poles.

How you'll use it

On a clear night, leave the walls in the bag. When the wind picks up, run one wall along the exposed side as a windbreak. When the weather really closes in, fit all four and you have an enclosed room beside the vehicle, with somewhere dry to cook, eat and keep gear out of the rain. The mesh windows give you airflow and a view out while keeping the space private, and the inner canvas flaps close them off when it's cold or wet.

The poles fit the built-in holes in the trussed arms and take the weight of the walls and the extra wind load. On Mk2 awnings, a webbing loop built into the outer edge of the canvas at the end of each non-trussed arm takes a pole too; for older models, retrofit webbing straps are supplied and can stay on the awning. Setting up and pegging down the full kit takes about 15 minutes.

For a private change room, shower or toilet area, fit the custom vinyl hanger around one of the trussed awning arms and hang any wall from it with Velcro, or run a wall along one of the non-trussed arms. With three walls you can make a triangular room at the front or rear without putting up the whole kit.

The walls pack into one zippered canvas bag and the poles into another, so they stay clean and organised in a canopy, trailer or drawer system and don't have to live on the roof.

Built for Australian weather

The walls are 260gsm ±5% acrylic-treated polyester ripstop canvas, treated against mould, mildew and UV; any marks wipe off with warm water. 600gsm PVC mud skirts, over 400mm deep, seal the ground edge against water, dust and debris, and wipe clean. The walls extend to 2.4m high, and reinforced tie-down points let you set them to suit your vehicle; and on rock where pegs won't go in you can hold the skirt down with rocks. The panels join with YKK spiral zips, made from spiralled polyester and nylon: the softest, smoothest-running zip YKK makes, and they won't rust in salt air, sand or dirt. The total weight of the kit is 21Kg including poles and pegs.

Fit

Cut to suit the 180 XT MAX, with the panels and anchor points lined up to the awning, so no modifications are needed. The walls attach with the Velcro loop strip on the awning's valance, so the kit also fits any awning that has a Velcro loop strip on its valance. 12-month warranty.

Only need one or two walls? The Universal Single Canvas Wall and Universal Single Mesh Wall fit any Bush Company awning, and zip together along their sides to increase coverage as required.

Damage In Transit

If you or the person responsible for receiving your order does not check that the item has arrived in good condition prior to accepting it, The Bush Company cannot be held responsible for any claim for damage in transit.

When your order shipment arrives, it is essential that you check it thoroughly for any signs of damage before signing to accept the shipment.  This means checking the exterior box and if there are any signs of damage externally then the box should be opened, and the product examined for any signs of damage to the product itself.  This needs to be done before you sign anything to say that the item has been received, the driver needs to wait until you are satisfied.  If you are not satisfied with the condition of the item, then you are entitled to refuse delivery and the courier will have to return the product to us.

If you do not follow this procedure and it turns out that the item has been damaged in transit, then there is no way for The Bush Company to claim on the freight insurance to cover any damage.  If you sign anything and are not satisfied you must ensure that this is noted by the driver in writing and obtain a copy that is signed by the driver.
