KAON Awning Bracket Set to Suit Front Runner Slimline II

Mount your Bush Company awning with confidence. The KAON  Awning Bracket Set for the Front Runner Slimline II rack is a premium, Australian-made solution engineered for the harsh realities of off-road travel. Built from stainless steel and designed around a three-bracket load path, this system delivers the strength, adjustability, and universal compatibility that serious tourers demand.

Whether you're running a freestanding 270°, forward-fold, rear-fold, or straight-out awning, this bracket set delivers industry-leading stability while preserving valuable rack space—making it one of the most capable Front Runner Slimline II awning bracket systems on the Australian market.

Engineered for Heavy Duty 270° Awnings

270-degree awnings create significant static and dynamic loads, especially on corrugations. This bracket set solves that challenge with a three-bracket design, distributing weight and vibration evenly along the Slimline II rack. The result is reduced stress on the rack’s side profile, improved long-term durability, and unmatched stability for awnings up to 40 kg.

This makes it ideal for users wanting robust support for Bush Companyfreestanding 270 awnings, 180 awnings.

3 mm Stainless Steel Construction Built for Harsh Conditions

Each bracket is laser-cut from 3 mm stainless steel and finished in a textured black powder coat. This combination delivers long-term resistance to corrosion, red dust, and coastal conditions—exactly what’s expected from a premium Australian-made roof rack awning bracket.

Engineered folds throughout the design maximise rigidity while keeping weight low. The full kit weighs just 2.35 kg, yet provides the strength required for rugged touring setups.

Universal Fitment for Most 270° & 180° Awnings

Thanks to a fully slotted, multi-pattern faceplate, this mounting system is compatible with the vast majority of 270 degree awnings, rear-fold awnings, forward-fold awnings, and standard side awnings commonly used across Australia.

This ensures:

  • Freedom to change awning brands in the future
  • Confident universal compatibility
  • A future-proof mounting solution that adapts as your touring setup evolves

The only exception is awnings requiring proprietary mounts outside standard bolt patterns.

Five-Position Vertical Height Adjustment

Fine-tune your awning exactly how you want it. The five-step vertical adjustment system allows you to:

  • Raise the awning to clear tailgates, barn doors or canopy openings
  • Lower it to improve reach and deployment on taller vehicles
  • Optimise accessory clearance for rooftop tents, solar panels and gear
  • Improve visual alignment with rooflines

This level of adjustability is rare among 270 awning brackets for Front Runner Slimline II and provides meaningful flexibility during fitment.

Designed Exclusively for Front Runner Slimline II

Unlike generic mounts, this system is engineered specifically to integrate with the Front Runner Slimline II rack. The supplied hardware interfaces directly with the rack’s side profile, ensuring:

  • No drilling required
  • Clean, secure installation
  • Maximised rack surface area for other accessories

This true Front Runner-specific design is a major advantage for users wanting a secure fit without compromising space on shorter dual-cab roof platforms.

Compact, Rack-Efficient Geometry

The bracket profile sits tight to the rack to minimise intrusion into your usable roof space—an essential feature for vehicles running rooftop tents, solar panels or other accessories. On dual-cab utes and wagons where space is limited, this compact design is a key benefit over bulkier universal systems.

Built in Australia. Backed by a 3-Year Warranty.

Proudly Australian Designed & Made this bracket set is backed by a 3-year, unlimited kilometre warranty. The manufacturing quality reflects the conditions it’s built for—long dirt roads, rough tracks, and high daily use.

For tourers who rely on their gear, local manufacturing matters. It means better durability, better support, and products engineered for real-world Australian conditions.
