270 XT MAX Wall Kit: six walls, full wraparound enclosure

Five main walls plus a front arm wall turn the 270 XT MAX Mk2 Awning into a fully enclosed, all-weather room: a living space, a change room or a storm shelter, with all 12.2m² of the awning under cover.

What's in the kit

• Five main walls, each cut to fit its position on the awning, for a complete wraparound enclosure.
• Three midge-mesh windows and two roll-up canvas doors, each door with its own mesh window. Inner canvas flaps zip from inside to control airflow.
• Front arm wall that runs along the front non-trussed arm to block rain and shelter the gap above the bonnet. It doubles as a privacy screen.
• Custom vinyl hanger for a private change room.
• Six aluminium telescopic poles, extending to 2.6m, to carry the weight of the walls and keep them taut and steady in wind.
• Pegs for the wall skirts.
• One heavy-duty canvas bag for all six walls, and a separate canvas bag for the poles.

How you'll use it

With two doors you can come and go from either end, and one sits where it keeps full access to the back of the vehicle if that's where your kitchen is. Roll both up on a hot day for a cross-breeze. Each door and window has mesh on the outside and a canvas flap on the inside that zips up from the bottom, so you can open it right up, open it partway, or close it off completely. The mesh is easy to see out through but hard to see in through, so with the flap zipped halfway you can get changed below head height and still see out.

Peg the door panels out horizontally with extra poles (not supplied) and they become extra awnings, stretching shade beyond the main footprint to keep gear, chairs or the fridge out of the sun.

For a private change room, shower or toilet area, fit the custom vinyl hanger around any of the trussed awning arms and hang a wall from it with Velcro. Using a door panel means you can zip it open to go in and out.

The poles fit the built-in holes in the trussed arms. On Mk2 awnings, a webbing loop built into the outer edge of the canvas at the end of each non-trussed arm takes a pole too; for older models, retrofit webbing straps are supplied and can stay on the awning. When pegging down, start where the zips join, which stops the zips being pulled open by a gust. The walls can stay zipped together and fold away as one piece if you prefer.

The whole kit is 24kg and packs down to 166 × 24 × 20cm.

Built for Australian weather

260gsm ±5% acrylic-treated polyester ripstop canvas, the same olive canvas used on our awnings and tents, with 600gsm PVC splash skirts. The weighted PVC base helps the walls hang straight with less flapping and wipes clean of mud and sand. Adjustable pegging points and eyelets suit different vehicle heights and stop water getting in and walls lifting in gusts. The panels join with YKK spiral zips, made from spiralled polyester and nylon: the softest, smoothest-running zip YKK makes. Wet the walls down before first use so the thread swells and seals the stitching.

Fit

Cut to suit the 270 XT MAX Mk2, with zips and Velcro closures that line up with the awning. The walls attach to the Velcro loop strip on the awning's valance, so they also fit any awning with a Velcro loop strip on its valance. 12-month warranty.

Only need one or two walls? The Universal Single Canvas Wall and Universal Single Mesh Wall fit any Bush Company awning, and zip together along their sides to increase coverage as required.

If you provide a residential address for delivery of your order it is assumed that your items can left in a safe place at your home if nobody ia available to receive them in person, in which case, The Bush Company is not accountable for any loss once delivery is made.

All items, including CapRax Canopies by Rhinoman, are available for collection from our showroom at The Bush Company, 14 Cessna Street, Marcoola, QLD 4564. In-stock orders are usually ready for collection the same day. We will contact you to confirm when your order is ready to collect.

Please note that due to insurance and health and safety issues, you cannot self-fit your purchase on our premises.

International Delivery

Freight costs for international orders are calculated excluding customs duties and local sales taxes.  The receiver will be required to cover the costs of local import duties and sales taxes. Large Items (Courier Delivery Tents & Canopies)

Home Delivery

’Home Delivery ’ means a home or private residence, including locations where a business is operated from the home or private residence. For home delivery of rooftop tents and canopies a forklift must be available at the delivery point and truck access. We will contact you to confirm that his is the case.  Unloading by hand is not permitted by the couriers due to health and safety regulations. If, as is usually the case, you do not have a forklift available at your home address, we can arrange for your tent or canopy to be delivered to the nearest FEDEX freight depot/agent for collection from there.

Business Delivery

If you provide a commercial premises address for the delivery of your rooftop tent or canopy,  a forklift must be available at the delivery point and truck access. Unloading by hand is not permitted by the couriers due to health and safety regulations.

Depot Collection

Damage In Transit

If you or the person responsible for receiving your order does not check that the item has arrived in good condition prior to accepting it, The Bush Company cannot be held responsible for any claim for damage in transit.

When your order shipment arrives, it is essential that you check it thoroughly for any signs of damage before signing to accept the shipment.  This means checking the exterior box and if there are any signs of damage externally then the box should be opened, and the product examined for any signs of damage to the product itself.  This needs to be done before you sign anything to say that the item has been received, the driver needs to wait until you are satisfied.  If you are not satisfied with the condition of the item, then you are entitled to refuse delivery and the courier will have to return the product to us.

If you do not follow this procedure and it turns out that the item has been damaged in transit, then there is no way for The Bush Company to claim on the freight insurance to cover any damage.  If you sign anything and are not satisfied you must ensure that this is noted by the driver in writing and obtain a copy that is signed by the driver.
